トランプ大統領は7日、NBCテレビの電話インタビューで、マスク氏との関係は終わりなのかと問われると「そう思っている」と答え、マスク氏の言動について「大統領に対して無礼だ」と批判しました。
President Trump, in a phone interview with NBC on the 7th, was asked whether his relationship with Mr. Musk was over, to which he replied, I think so, and criticized Mr. Musks behavior as disrespectful to the President.
また、来年の中間選挙を前に、仮にマスク氏が野党・民主党の候補者に資金を援助した場合について「もしそうしたら、彼は非常に深刻な結果に直面することになるだろう」とけん制しました。
He also warned that, ahead of next years midterm elections, If Mr. Musk provides financial support to an opposition Democratic Party candidate, he will face very serious consequences.
一方、アメリカのブルームバーグは6日、ホワイトハウス高官の話として、トランプ大統領が、マスク氏の経営するテスラへの連帯を示すため購入した車を手放すことを検討していると伝えるなど、2人の亀裂はいっそう鮮明になっています。
On the other hand, on the 6th, Bloomberg in the United States reported, citing a White House official, that President Trump is considering getting rid of a car he purchased to show solidarity with Tesla, run by Mr. Musk, further highlighting the rift between the two.
