According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, on the 19th, clouds are likely to spread in Niigata Prefecture in the Kanto-Koshinetsu region, but in other areas, due to the influence of high pressure, temperatures are expected to rise from the morning.

The highest daytime temperatures are expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius, marking a midsummer day in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, and Kofu City. Other expected temperatures include 29 degrees in Saitama City, Maebashi City, and Utsunomiya City; 28 degrees in central Tokyo; 27 degrees in Nagano City; and 26 degrees in Yokohama City, Chiba City, and Mito City, indicating a summer day over a wide area.

Although it will be unseasonably hot, during this time of year, the body is not yet accustomed to the heat, so there is a risk of heatstroke even if the temperature is not that high.

Please be mindful of heatstroke prevention by using air conditioning as needed and frequently hydrating.

In the Ogasawara Islands, the atmospheric conditions are expected to become unstable until before noon on the 19th due to the inflow of warm and moist air towards the low pressure and fronts, with the possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunder, reaching up to 40 millimeters per hour in some areas.

The Japan Meteorological Agency is urging caution for landslides, river flooding, lightning, and gusty winds in the Ogasawara Islands until the evening of the 19th.
