秋田県あきたけんの田沢湖たざわこには、昔むかしから「辰子たつこ」という女性じょせいの話はなしがあります。
辰子たつこは美うつくしい女性じょせいでした。ある日ひ、山やまの中なかの池いけで自分じぶんの顔かおを見みて、自分じぶんの美うつくしさに気きがつきました。そして、ずっと美うつくしいままでいたいと思おもいました。山やまの北きたにある湖みずうみの水みずを飲のんだら、ずっと若わかいままでいることができるという夢ゆめを見みて、湖みずうみに行いきました。
辰子たつこが湖みずうみの水みずを飲のむと、体からだが龍りゅうになりました。辰子たつこは湖みずうみに住すむようになりました。村むらにいる辰子たつこのお母かあさんの所ところには、湖みずうみから魚さかなが届とどくようになりました。辰子たつこが元気げんきだと知しらせるために、魚さかなを送おくっていると言いわれています。
