It was decided to change the immigration control law
The government submitted a proposal to the Diet to change the immigration control law.
Until now, the law did not allow foreigners who applied to be recognized as refugees to be returned to their countries.
The government believes that some people do not want to go back to their country and submit papers repeatedly.
For this reason, if there is no solid reason, we have proposed to send back to the country those who have submitted documents more than three times.
In addition, we will allow foreigners who return to their country to live with people who are approved by the immigration bureau instead of immigration facilities, and reduce the number of people who stay in immigration facilities as long as possible.
Some of the opposition parties said they would oppose it, but the number of people in favor increased, and the proposal was decided.
