One in three young German men thinks violence against women is ’acceptable’, according to a survey conducted by a charity.

The survey is being conducted online by children’s charity Plan International Germany.

ドイツ国内こくないの１８～３５歳さいの男女だんじょそれぞれ１０００人にんを対象たいしょうに、男おとこらしさに関かんする考かんがえ方かたを尋たずねました

We asked 1,000 men and women aged 18 to 35 in Germany about their thoughts on masculinity.

The findings were published in a local West German newspaper.

回答者かいとうしゃの男性だんせいのうち３４％は、「自分じぶんを尊敬そんけいさせる」目的もくてきで過去かこに女性じょせいのパートナーに対たいして暴力ぼうりょくを振ふるったことがあると回答かいとうしました

Thirty-four percent of the male respondents said they had used violence against their female partners in the past to ”make them respect themselves.”

３３％は、パートナーとのけんかの最中さいちゅうに「手てが滑すべる」ことがあったとしても、容認ようにんできると回答かいとうしました

Thirty-three percent said that it would be acceptable to have “slippery hands” during a fight with a partner.

過去かこに性的関係せいてきかんけいをもったパートナーが多数たすういる相手あいてとの関係かんけいは望のぞまないという回答かいとうは、男性だんせいが５０％、女性じょせいは２０％でした

50% of men and 20% of women answered that they do not want to have a relationship with someone who has had many sexual partners in the past.
