1.72 million foreigners working in Japan, the largest number ever
厚生労働省が去年１０月に調べると、日本の会社などで働く外国人は約１７２万人でした
According to a survey by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare last October, there were about 1.72 million foreigners working at Japanese companies.
4% more than the previous year, the most ever
ベトナムの人が約４４万人で、初めていちばん多くなりました
The number of Vietnamese is about 440,000, which is the highest for the first time.
The second was China with about 420,000 people, and the third was the Philippines with about 180,000 people.
Medical and welfare jobs increased the most compared to the previous year, up 26.8%.
Construction also increased by 19%
