US last year’s trade deficit 96 trillion yen, the largest ever

The US Department of Commerce announced that the trade deficit of goods in 2020 was 904.9 billion dollars = about 96 trillion yen, an increase of 5.9% compared to the adult.
The deficit amount is the largest ever since 2018 for the first time in two years
While the world economy was sluggish and exports fell sharply, imports such as online shopping recovered from the latter half of the year due to consumption of nests, which is a factor in the expansion of the deficit.
The reduction of the trade deficit set by former President Trump has ended in a miss, and the focus will be on how the new Biden administration, which emphasizes the domestic return of companies and the protection of employment, will deal with the huge trade deficit.
