Semiconductor giant TSMC collaborates in Japan with a subsidiary such as 5G
半導体の受託生産で世界最大手の台湾の「TSMC」は9日、日本に子会社を設立すると発表しました
Taiwan’s TSMC, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of semiconductors, announced on the 9th that it will establish a subsidiary in Japan.
The maximum investment amount is 18.6 billion yen.
We plan to establish a research and development base in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, aiming to improve semiconductor performance in collaboration with Japanese companies, etc., with an eye on 5G mobile communication systems and the ”post 5G” era beyond that.
TSMC has world-leading semiconductor manufacturing technology and plans to build a factory in the United States as well.
