A transgender woman won the beauty pageant
The Miss Nevada USA contest was held in Nevada, USA on the 27th, and Kataruna Enriquez (27) won the championship.
Mr. Kataruna has announced the transgender, and won the qualifying round in March to enter the final round, and won the victory from among the 21 candidates.
In November, I will participate in the Miss USA National Tournament as a representative of Nevada.
Mr. Kataruna is pleased with the victory, but says that ”it was not an easy road” and ”the difference is the strength”.
Local media reports that it is the first time for a transgender woman to win this tournament.
