Osaka University Announces New Quantum Computer Made in Japan
Osaka University has created a "quantum computer."
Quantum computers can perform many more calculations faster than conventional computers.
They are expected to be useful in a variety of fields, including medicine and finance.
All of Osaka University's quantum computer's components were made in Japan.
According to the university, there are very few examples, even overseas, of a country making all of its components in its own country.
This quantum computer will be available for experience at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which begins in April.
