Komeito’s Ishii: ``I’m quitting my top position’’
政治のグループ、公明党の石井代表が、トップをやめると言いました
Ishii, the leader of the political group Komeito, has announced that he will quit his position as top executive.
公明党は、自民党と一緒に今の政府をつくっています
The Komeito Party forms the current government together with the Liberal Democratic Party.
In the House of Representatives election on the 27th, Komeito had 24 members, 8 fewer members than before.
Mr. Ishii also could not become a member of the Diet.
石井さんは、31日、公明党の会議で「選挙の結果は私の責任なので、トップをやめます」と話しました
Ishii said at a Komeito party meeting on the 31st, ``The election results are my responsibility, so I’m resigning from the top position.’’
そして「トップは、国会に出て、自分たちの考え方をしっかり伝えなければなりません
``Top leaders must appear in the Diet and clearly convey their views.’’
