First event to compete in software development and ideas to counter disinformation

SNSでの偽にせ情報じょうほうの拡散かくさんが課題かだいになる中なか、IT技術ぎじゅつ者しゃたちが集あつまって、偽にせ情報じょうほうの早期そうき発見はっけんや対策たいさくにつながるソフトウエアの開発かいはつやアイデアを競きそうイベントが都内とないで初はじめて開ひらかれました

As the spread of false information on SNS becomes an issue, an event was held for the first time in Tokyo where IT engineers gathered to compete for ideas and the development of software that can lead to early detection and countermeasures for false information.

「偽にせ情報じょうほう対策たいさくハッカソン」と呼よばれるこのイベントには、企業きぎょうで働はたらくIT技術ぎじゅつ者しゃのほか、大学だいがくの研究けんきゅう者しゃや学生がくせいなどおよそ50人にんが参加さんかしました

The event, called the ”Counter-Disinformation Hackathon,” was attended by approximately 50 people, including IT engineers working at companies, as well as university researchers and students.

はじめに偽にせ情報じょうほうの現状げんじょうについて4人にんの有識ゆうしき者しゃの講演こうえんが行おこなわれ、生成せいせいAIの登場とうじょうで見分みわけることが難むずかしい精巧せいこうな偽にせ情報じょうほうが大幅おおはばに増ふえていることや、投稿とうこう者しゃや拡散かくさんの流ながれをチェックして対策たいさくを進すすめていく重要じゅうよう性せいなどが指摘してきされました

First, four experts gave lectures on the current state of disinformation, and explained that with the advent of generative AI, the amount of sophisticated disinformation that is difficult to distinguish has increased significantly, and that countermeasures should be taken by checking the posters and the flow of dissemination. The importance of moving forward was pointed out.

このあと参加さんか者しゃたちは、数すう人にんずつの11チームに分わかれて、アイデアを出だしあいながら開発かいはつに取り組とりくんでいきました

Afterwards, the participants divided into 11 teams of several people and worked on development while exchanging ideas.

それぞれのチームからは、偽にせ情報じょうほうを発信はっしんしているアカウントの位置いち情報じょうほうを把握はあくできるツールや正ただしい情報じょうほうと偽にせ情報じょうほうを見分みわけるゲーム性せいのある教育きょういくシステムを開発かいはつするアイデアなどが出だされていました

Each team came up with ideas such as developing a tool that can grasp the location information of accounts transmitting false information and a game-like educational system that distinguishes between true and false information.

A 20-year-old university student who participated said, ``I participated because I was studying security and was interested in generative AI.

衆議院しゅうぎいん選挙せんきょでもいろいろな情報じょうほうが拡散かくさんされていた印象いんしょうがあり、発言はつげんの切り取きりとり投稿とうこうのもとの発言はつげんを見みられるようなツールを作つくりたい」と話はなしていました
