According to the police, at around 10:30 a.m. on the 29th, a woman in her 40s who had come to climb the mountain with two people in the Hida River in Nakaaso, Shichiso-cho, said, ``Two people, a man and a woman, were swept away while climbing the mountain.’’ The fire department was notified
The people who were swept away were a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, and their whereabouts are still unknown.
It is believed that a man entered the river to try to cross to the other side and was washed away, and a woman who jumped in to help was also washed away.
At that time, the river was about 1 meter higher than usual due to the continuous rain, and the flow was also faster.
The search is scheduled to resume after the 30th, depending on weather conditions.
