The site of the fire is a training ground for the Self-Defense Forces that straddles Gotemba City and Oyama Town, Shizuoka Prefecture.
火が出たのは１７日午後１時半ごろで、消防によりますと、「演習場内で野火が発生している」と陸上自衛隊から通報がありました
