房総ぼうそう半島はんとうの沖合おきあい480キロの深海しんかいでもレジ袋ぶくろなど使い捨つかいすてのプラスチック製品せいひんが多数たすう見みつかり、目視もくしで確認かくにんできたごみの数かずをもとにプラスチックごみの量りょうを推計すいけいしたところ、1平方キロへいほうきろ当あたりおよそ7000個こに上のぼることが分わかったということです

海洋かいよう研究けんきゅう開発かいはつ機構きこうの中嶋なかじま亮太りょうた副ふく主任しゅにん研究けんきゅう員いんは「過去かこの研究けんきゅうでは陸りくから遠とおいほどごみは減へっていくと言いわれていたが、今回こんかいの調査ちょうさで500キロも離はなれた深海しんかい底そこが“ごみ捨ごみすて場じょう”のようになってしまっていることが分わかった
