Hiroshima Aquarium You can see carp streamers swimming in the water
In Japan, May 5th is Children’s Day, and koinobori (carp streamers) are often displayed to make boys grow up healthy.
At the Mariho Aquarium in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City, the Nishikigoi tank was decorated with carp streamers from the 20th of this month.
I also put three koinobori in the tank so that you can see how they sway as if they were swimming in the water.
There are 11 Nishikigoi around 30cm in size in the tank, and they are swimming energetically like carp streamers caught in the wind.
Children who came to the aquarium put their faces close to the aquarium and enjoyed the beautiful colored carp streamers and Nishikigoi.
A person at the aquarium said, ”Hiroshima is famous for Nishikigoi, so I decided to show them along with the Koinobori.
I used the place where the water comes out to make it look like the carp streamer is swimming.”
This tank can be seen until May 28th.
