アメリカの地質調査所によりますと、現地時間の25日午前3時ごろ、インドネシアのスマトラ島付近でマグニチュード7.1の地震がありました
According to the US Geological Survey, at around 3:00 am local time on the 25th, there was an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 near the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.
震源の深さはおよそ15.5キロだということです
”The depth of the epicenter is about 15.5 kilometers.”
インドネシアの気象当局はこの地震による津波の警戒情報を一時出しましたが、およそ2時間後に解除されました
The Indonesian meteorological authority temporarily issued a tsunami warning due to this earthquake, but it was canceled after about two hours.

震源付近にあるスマトラ島では未明の地震発生に住民がバイクなどで避難する様子もみられました
