Tokyo, Japan: COVID 19, Seven Confirmed Deaths, and 2549 Confirmed Infected Which is 900 Less than Last Week
The number of confirmed infections in Tokyo on the 28th was 2,549, about 900 fewer than the Saturday of the previous week. There’s been 15 consecutive days of a downward trend in COVID cases as of the same day last week.
Along with that, the capital announced seven confirmed persons infected with COVID 19 had passed away.
東京都は28日、都内で新たに10歳未満から100歳以上の2549人が新型コロナウイルスに感染していることを確認したと発表しました
It was announced once again on March 28 that 2,549 new people from minors under 10 to elderly over 100 years of age have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus in Tokyo.
That’s 900 less people than Saturday last week.
There’s been 15 consecutive days of a downward trend in COVID cases as of the same day last week.
Up until the 28th, the average number of cases over a seven day period was 3016 people. The current average is 84.6% of the previous average.
If we look at the age distribution of the 2549 confirmed infected as of the 28th, we’ll find that adults in their 20s are the biggest group at 19.1% or 488 people.
The elderly starting from age 65 account for 188 people or 7.4% as a whole.
Also, the ventilators used up until now according to Japan’s captital’s standards which are otherwise known as ECMOs (man-made heart and lung equipment) are currently being used by three patients with serious symptoms. That’s one more patient than on the 27th.
Meanwhile, a man confirmed infected in his twenties and the six men and women in their seventies to nineties were pronounced dead.
