Hatching of loggerhead sea turtle eggs has begun in the middle of this month at an aquarium in Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture, and cute baby turtles are being born one after another.

Kushimoto Marine Park Center Aquarium, located in Kushimoto Town, is known for being the first in the world to successfully breed loggerhead sea turtles in artificial captivity in 1995, and continues to conduct research to help protect sea turtles.
The aquarium is breeding three types of sea turtles in an artificial spawning area, and hatching of loggerhead sea turtle eggs began on the 13th of this month, and as of the morning of the 22nd, approximately 200 sea turtles had been born.
