A service that eliminates the need to bring diapers to daycare
In January of this year, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare told parents not to bring diapers used at daycare centers home and put them in the garbage at daycare centers.
In Minato-ku, Tokyo, nursery schools have been disposing diapers in the garbage since before that.
And from this month, 33 facilities, including nursery schools in the ward, have started experimenting with a service that allows parents to bring their own diapers without having to bring them with them.
For 2,500 yen a month, you can use as many diapers and bottom-cleaning paper as you can find at the nursery school.
When you run out of diapers, the service company will deliver them to the nursery school.
