China participates in IAEA survey for the first time - Examining fish from Fukushima Prefecture
Since August of this year, Tokyo Electric Power Company has been draining the water treated at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean at a lower concentration of radioactive substances than the standard.

At the port of Iwaki City, we put six types of fish, including flounder, into boxes of about 70 kg each.
A total of 12 experts from Japan, the IAEA, South Korea, Canada, and China participated in this year’s survey.

China has stopped imports from Japan, saying it is concerned about whether Japanese fish is safe.
