Wakayama Station Children put up Tanabata decorations
In Japan, there is a custom on July 7th, Tanabata, to decorate pieces of paper with wishes written on them.
On the 3rd at Wakayama Station on the Wakayama Electric Railway, about 30 children from a nearby nursery school decorated paper wedges.
On the paper, I wrote things like, ``When I grow up, I want to work with animals,’’ and ``I’ll do my best on the horizontal bar.’’
貴志駅で駅長をしている猫のニタマも来ました
Nitama, the cat who works as the stationmaster at Kishi Station, also came.
I watched the children cheerfully sing Tanabata songs.
和歌山電鉄では7月7日まで、和歌山駅など3つの駅にささを置いています
Until July 7th, Wakayama Electric Railway will be placing flower buds at three stations including Wakayama Station.
