A Japanese woman from Médecins Sans Frontières returns from the Gaza Strip.

NGO「国境こっきょうなき医師団いしだん」の白根しらね麻衣子まいこさんは、パレスチナのガザ地区ちくで活動かつどうしていました

Maiko Shirane of the NGO ”Médecins Sans Frontières” worked in the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

10月がつ7日なのかにイスラエルとハマスの戦たたかいが始はじまって、白根しらねさんはガザ地区ちくの中なかで避難ひなんを続つづけました

The battle between Israel and Hamas began on October 7th, and Mr. Shirane continued to evacuate within the Gaza Strip.

そして今月こんげつ1日ついたちにエジプトに出でました

And I left for Egypt on the 1st of this month.

白根しらねさんは5日いつかの夜よる、日本にっぽんの羽田空港はねだくうこうに着つきました

Mr. Shirane arrived at Haneda Airport in Japan on the evening of the 5th.

白根しらねさんは「日本にっぽんに帰かえることができて安心あんしんしました

Shirane said, ``I was relieved to be able to return to Japan.

ガザ地区ちくは電気でんきがなくて、夜よるに見みえる光ひかりは空そらからの爆弾ばくだんやロケット弾だんの光ひかりだけでした」と話はなしました

There was no electricity in the Gaza Strip, and the only light visible at night was from bombs and rockets from the sky.”

そして「ガザ地区ちくの人ひとたちは、仕事しごとに行いったり喫茶店きっさてんで友達ともだちと話はなしたり、家族かぞくと笑わらって生活せいかつしていました

”The people of Gaza lived their lives going to work, talking with friends at coffee shops, and laughing with their families.

10月がつ7日なのかからは、このような普通ふつうの生活せいかつができなくなりました

From October 7th, this normal life will no longer be possible.

戦争せんそうのひどさや悲かなしさを伝つたえることが、私わたしにできることだと思おもっています」と話はなしました

On the 7th of October the fight between Israel and Palestine began and Ms. Shirane continuously kept seeking shelter in the Gaza Strip.

Then, on the 1st of November she went to Egypt.

Ms. Shirane arrived at Haneda Airport, Japan on the 5th of November in the night.

白根しらねさんは「日本にっぽんに帰かえることができて安心あんしんしました

Ms. Shirane said:”I was reliefed that I was able to go back to Japan.”

ガザ地区ちくは電気でんきがなくて、夜よるに見みえる光ひかりは空そらからの爆弾ばくだんやロケット弾だんの光ひかりだけでした」と話はなしました

Continuing, ”We had no electricity in the Gaza Strip and the only light we could see in the night was from the bombs and rockets in the sky.”

そして「ガザ地区ちくの人ひとたちは、仕事しごとに行いったり喫茶店きっさてんで友達ともだちと話はなしたり、家族かぞくと笑わらって生活せいかつしていました

Moreover she said:” The people in the Gaza Strip used to live a life where they went to work, talk with friends at the coffee shop or laughed together with their family.”

10月がつ7日なのかからは、このような普通ふつうの生活せいかつができなくなりました

”And ever since the 7th of October they are not able to live this kind of normal life anymore.”

戦争せんそうのひどさや悲かなしさを伝つたえることが、私わたしにできることだと思おもっています」と話はなしました

She finally said: ”I think that what I can do is tell about the brutality and sadness of the war.”
