Shizuoka - An elderly man died in a fire in an apartment. He was not able to contact for help.
5日午後9時ごろ、静岡市清水区興津中町で「アパートの1階から炎が見える」と近くに住む人から消防に通報がありました
On the 5th of November at around 9 o’clock in Shizuoka City, in Okitsu Nakamachi of Shimizu Ward the fire department received a report from a person living nearby the apartment. He said that he could see flames coming from the first floor.
The fire destroyed a room in a two-story light steel frame apartment building, and one person’s body was found in the burnt ruins.
Also, a 65 year old man had small burns.
A person who lives nearby said: ”When I was in my room, I heard an explosion which did sound like ”bang” once, then another time. When I went to look at the window, I saw that it had already started to burn. And since the elderly man living alone in this room was not able to be contacted, the police and fire department are trying to find out the identity of the body and the detailed cause of the fire.
