農林水産省のうりんすいさんしょうは、5月がつ13日にちから15日にち、店みせで売うっている野菜やさいの値段ねだんを調しらべました

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries investigated the prices of vegetables sold in stores from May 13th to 15th.

キャベツは、いつもの年としの1.8倍ばいの値段ねだんでした

Cabbage was 1.8 times more expensive than usual.

にんじんも40%以上いじょう、レタスも30%以上いじょう、いつもの年としより高たかくなっていました

Carrots were also more than 40% higher, and lettuce was more than 30% more expensive than usual.

きゅうりやトマトも高たかくなっていました

Cucumbers and tomatoes were also expensive.

農林水産省のうりんすいさんしょうは、値段ねだんが高たかくなった理由りゆうについて、先月せんげつ雨あめが多おおかったことなどが原因げんいんで、店みせに出だす野菜やさいが少すくなくなったと説明せつめいしています

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries explains that the reason for the higher prices is that there were fewer vegetables available at stores due to factors such as heavy rain last month.

東京とうきょうの杉並区すぎなみくにある店みせでは、いつもは99円えんで売うっているキャベツを20日はつかは358円えんで売うっていました

At a store in Tokyo’s Suginami Ward, cabbage that normally costs 99 yen was being sold for 358 yen on the 20th.

買かい物ものに来きた人ひとは「今いまは、春はるにできたキャベツがおいしい季節きせつですが、こんなに高たかいと買かうことができません」と話はなしていました

A person shopping said, ``Right now is the season for spring cabbages, but they are so expensive that I can’t buy them.’’

農林水産省のうりんすいさんしょうは「6月がつ中旬ちゅうじゅんから、涼すずしい所ところで育そだてたキャベツが店みせに出でるようになって、値段ねだんが下さがると思おもいます」と話はなしていました

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said, ``From mid-June, cabbages grown in cool places will be available in stores, and we think prices will drop.’’
