Number of foreigners working in Japan reaches 2 million for the first time

Comparing by residence status, there were many people of Japanese ancestry or married to Japanese people, about 615,000.
There were approximately 595,000 people with specialized skills, such as those working in research, and approximately 412,000 people who were technical trainees.
An expert familiar with the issue of working foreigners says, ``The number of Japanese people is decreasing by more than 800,000 every year.
