On the 15th, two boys and others were stabbed by a knife-wielding man at a Target store in central Los Angeles.
Suspect shot dead by security guards
According to Moore, Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the suspect is a 40-year-old man.
Around 6:40 p.m. on the same day, he repeatedly threatened to stab a 9-year-old boy to death inside the store.
After that, he suddenly attacked the boy who was trying to escape and stabbed him in the back with a kitchen knife with a blade length of about 25 cm that he had stolen from the store.
Proceeding further down the aisle, he stabbed a woman (25) in the chest.
After that, security guards stopped him from moving to the entrance and opened fire on the approaching suspect.
Suspect was shot in the abdomen and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital
”The suspect’s identity has not been made public.”
Police officers who had been dispatched to the same district for a different case immediately rushed to the scene.
Investigators are looking closely at the footage from the store’s security cameras.
