Yamato Transport home delivery fees to increase by approximately 2% on average from April.
Yamato Transport, a major delivery company, has announced that it will raise prices for home delivery services by an average of 2% from April this year.
The reason for this is to respond to rising fuel prices and to improve the treatment of drivers and others.

According to the announcement, Yamato Transport will increase the price of cool delivery services and golf bags by approximately 2% on average in addition to regular home delivery services.
In addition to responding to rising costs such as fuel prices, regulations on overtime work for truck drivers will be tightened from April this year, and in preparation for the ``2024 problem’’ where there are concerns about labor shortages in logistics, hoping this will lead to treatment improvement of drivers and others as well.
The company raised prices by an average of about 10% in April last year, and will continue to review prices every year.
Among major delivery companies, Japan Post raised its courier service fees by about 10% on average in October last year, and Sagawa Express also raised its courier fees by about 7% from April this year.
