New apartment prices in March Tokyo’s 23 wards are 2.7 times higher than last year
A company called Real Estate Economic Research Institute investigated the prices of new condominiums that went on sale in March in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba prefectures.
In Tokyo, condominiums priced at 200 million yen or more and expensive condominiums priced at 400 million yen or more were put up for sale near stations such as the Yamanote Line.
For this reason, the average price of apartments in Tokyo’s 23 wards is 217.5 million yen, up 2.7 times from March last year.

The average in Kanagawa Prefecture increased by 5.4% from March last year, and in Chiba Prefecture by 5.5%.
Saitama fell by 19.4%
The average for Tokyo and the three prefectures was 143.6 million yen, 2.2 times higher than last March.
