A woman in her 40s and a 28-year-old man die after a series of avalanches in Hokkaido

　3日みっか、北海道ほっかいどうで雪崩なだれが相次あいつぎ、利尻島りしりとうの利尻山りしりざんでは40代女性だいじょせいが、島牧村しままきむらの東狩場山ひがしかりばやまでは28歳さいの男性だんせいが死亡しぼうしました

On the 3rd, a series of avalanches occurred in Hokkaido, killing a woman in her 40s on Mt. Rishiri on Rishiri Island and a 28-year-old man on Mt. Higashikariba in Shimamaki Village.

　3日午後みっかごご0時半じはんすぎ、利尻山りしりざんで「複数人ふくすうじんが雪崩なだれに巻まき込こまれた」と男性だんせいから警察けいさつに通報つうほうがありました

Just after 12:30 pm on the 3rd, a man reported to the police that ``multiple people were caught in an avalanche’’ on Mt. Rishiri.

　警察けいさつによりますと、山やまの東側斜面ひがしがわしゃめんの標高約ひょうこうやく0400メートルの地点ちてんで雪崩なだれが起おき、成人せいじんの男女だんじょ4人にんが巻まき込こまれたということです

According to the police, an avalanche occurred at an altitude of approximately 0,400 meters on the eastern slope of the mountain, and four adult men and women were caught in it.

　4人にんは全員雪ぜんいんゆきの中なかから助たすけ出だされましたが、40代だいの女性じょせい1人ひとりが心肺停止しんぱいていしの状態じょうたいでヘリで病院びょういんに搬送はんそうされ、その後ご、死亡しぼうが確認かくにんされました

All four people were rescued from the snow, but one woman in her 40s was transported by helicopter to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, where she was later confirmed dead.

　また、島牧村しままきむらの東狩場山ひがしかりばやまでも雪崩なだれが発生はっせいし、スノーモービルを走はしらせていた28歳さいの男性だんせい1人ひとりが巻まき込こまれて死亡しぼうしました

Additionally, an avalanche occurred on Mt. Higashikariba in Shimamaki Village, and a 28-year-old man who was riding a snowmobile was caught and killed.
