The UK government has announced a ban on all junk food advertising online and on TV before 9pm in a bid to combat obesity.

保健ほけん・社会福祉省しゃかいふくししょうのアンドリュー・グウィン次官じかん（公衆衛生担当こうしゅうえいせいたんとう）が12日にちの議会ぎかいで説明せつめいしたところによると、新規制しんきせいは2025年ねん10月がつから施行しこうされる

The new regulations will come into force from October 2025, Andrew Gwynne, deputy secretary for public health at the Department of Health and Social Care, told parliament on Monday.

この規制きせいの目的もくてきは、脂肪分しぼうぶん・塩分えんぶん・糖分とうぶんの多おおい食品しょくひんのテレビCMや広告こうこくを子こどもたちに見みせないことだ

The purpose of this regulation is to prevent children from seeing TV commercials and advertisements for foods high in fat, salt, and sugar.

“Advertising regulations can help protect children from the proliferation of less healthy food and drink advertising.

”These advertisements have been shown to influence dietary preferences from an early age,” said Gwynne.
