A research institute in Hyogo Prefecture has created a smartphone map app.
It’s called ”Nabizaka”
Find out if a person using a wheelchair can safely navigate a slope
People using the app can choose from four different strengths to move the wheelchair.
Then enter where you are leaving and where you want to go.
The app considers whether it can be passed based on how steep the slope is and how much force is required to move the wheelchair.
The color of the slope on the map will be blue if it is passable, yellow if it is difficult, and red if it is impossible.
Even if the slope is the same, it will be colored differently on the map depending on whether someone is strong or weak.
You’ll also know if you need someone to help you.
