Monkeys appear in houses and gardens, injuring 4-year-old and 5-year-old boys in Nakagawa, Fukuoka
On the morning of the 30th, a monkey appeared in a residential area in Nakagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and two boys, ages 4 and 5, were bitten on the waist and injured one after another.
Police are calling for caution
警察によりますと、30日午前7時すぎ、福岡県那珂川市片縄北の住宅で「息子がサルにかまれた」という通報が父親からありました
According to the police, just after 7 a.m. on the 30th, a father reported that his son had been bitten by a monkey at a residence in Katanawakita, Nakagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The monkey appears to have entered the residence through the open entrance, and a 5-year-old boy was bitten on the lower back and injured, but the severity of his injuries are said to be minor.
According to the police, about 30 minutes later, a monkey appeared at a residence in Katanawanishi, Nakagawa City, about 600 meters away, and a 4-year-old boy who was in the garden was bitten and suffered injuries to his arms and thighs.
According to the mother who reported the incident, the monkey attacked the boy and then ran away towards the mountains.
In Fukuoka Prefecture, there have been a number of cases of residents being bitten and injured by monkeys in residential areas, and police are urging people to be careful not to approach or make eye contact with monkeys if they see them.
