Japan and Vietnam Create an opera to celebrate 50 years of exchange
日本とベトナムが交流を始めてから、今年で50年になります
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Japan-Vietnam exchanges.
To celebrate, Japan and Vietnam decided to create an opera together.
オペラは、400年ぐらい前にあったことから作りました
The opera was created from what happened about 400 years ago.
Sotaro Araki, a trader, went from Nagasaki in Japan to Vietnam and married Princess Anio.
Last month, at an event in Hanoi, the person who played the role of Princess Anio sang a song about the distant Vietnam of Princess Anio, who came to Nagasaki after getting married.
