Construction of a base for inspecting vehicles on the Linear Chuo Shinkansen begins

JR Central is building the ”Linear Chuo Shinkansen” where linear motor cars run between Tokyo and Osaka.

On the 14th in Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, construction work to build a base for inspecting vehicles on the Linear Chuo Shinkansen began.
About 50 people, including JR Central and the mayor, gathered to pray for the safety of the construction.
The base is located in the mountains and covers an area of 50 hectares.
Shizuoka Prefecture, where the Linear Chuo Shinkansen runs, opposes the construction, saying that there will be environmental problems such as running out of water on the Oi River.
