The British authority announced that it will fine Facebook, the American social media giant, approximately 80 billion in Japanese yen for failing to cooperate in the investigation over the acquisition of a video streaming service company.

　日本にほんの公正取引委員会こうせいとりひきいいんかいにあたるイギリスの競争きょうそう・市場庁しじょうちょうは２０日はつか、フェイスブックに対たいし、５０５０万まんポンド（日本円にほんえんでおよそ８０億円おくえん）の罰金ばっきんを科かすと発表はっぴょうしました

The Competition and Markets Authority of the United Kingdom, similar to the Japan Fair Trade Commission, announced on the 20th that it will impose a fine of £50.5 million (around 8 billion yen in Japanese yen) on Facebook.

In response to this, the Competition and Markets Authority of the UK is examining whether there’s competitor or not, and ordered Facebook to halt the acquisition process until the conclusion comes out.

　今回こんかいの決定けっていについて競争きょうそう・市場庁しじょうちょうは、フェイスブックが審査しんさへの協力きょうりょくを怠おこたったと主張しゅちょうし、「重要情報じゅうようじょうほうの提供ていきょうを拒否きょひすることは命令違反めいれいいはんだと警告けいこくしましたが、フェイスブックは無視むしし続つづけた」とコメントしています

Regarding this decision, the Competition and Markets Authority of the UK commented, ”Facebook keeps ignoring authorities although they have been warned that refusing to provide necessary information is a violation of orders.”
