こうした活動かつどうが評価ひょうかされ、１９８４年ねんにノーベル平和賞へいわしょうを受賞じゅしょう

９１年ねんにアパルトヘイトが撤廃てっぱいされた後あとには白人政権下はくじんせいけんかでの人権侵害じんけんしんがいなどを調査ちょうさする委員会いいんかいのトップを務つとめ、「アパルトヘイトは人類じんるいへの罪つみ」と断罪だんざいしました
