Creating a women’s baseball team, a giant of professional baseball
Professional baseball giants have created a women’s baseball team to increase the number of baseball players and female fans.
It is the third professional baseball team to form a women’s team after Seibu and Hanshin.
The players who have decided to join the team are Aitoshi Shimano of Kobe Koryo High School who won the women’s tournament of high school students last year.
Rina Kanaman of Heisei Kokusai University, who became the representative of Japan for women under the age of 18, also joined.
Shimano says, ”I will do my best to make women’s baseball popular.”
