36 years after the plane accident that killed 520 people, pray quietly
1985年8月12日、東京から大阪に向かっていた日本航空のジャンボ機が群馬県上野村の山の中に落ちました
On August 12, 1985, a jumbo jet of Japan Airlines heading from Tokyo to Osaka fell into the mountains of Ueno Village, Gunma Prefecture.
There were people returning to their hometown for festival , and 520 people, the most, died in an airplane accident in Japan.
事故から36年の12日、亡くなった人の家族などが飛行機が落ちた山に登りました
On the 12th, 36 years after the accident, the families of the deceased climbed the mountain where the plane fell.
Because of concerns about the new coronavirus and aging.By 4:00 pm, 143 people less than lqst year climbed the mountain.
山の下にある「慰霊の園」では、亡くなった人のために祈る式がありました
At the ”Memorial Garden” under the mountain, there was a prayer ceremony for the deceased.
Due to the virus, only about 20 people, including those from Ueno Village and Japan Airlines, attended the ceremony this year as well.
At the ceremony, we lit 520 candles, the same number as the number of people who died.
