An elementary school skating class in a Nagano Prefecture rice field
An elementary school in Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture, teaches to grow rice in rice fields.
In winter, neighbors and schools fill the rice field with water and freeze it to make a skating rink.
The size is about 30m in length and 10m in width.
Late last month, the rice fields froze and it became possible to skate.
This year, they are holding skating lessons one class at a time to prevent the transmission of the new coronavirus.
