Miyagi / Onagawa-cho 700 yellow handkerchiefs wishing for requiescats and reconstruction
東日本大震災から11年を迎えた宮城県女川町では鎮魂と復興への思いがつづられた700枚の黄色いハンカチが掲げられました
In Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture, 11 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, 700 yellow handkerchiefs with requiescats and thoughts on reconstruction were displayed.
The ”Onagawa Urakata Ichiza” made by volunteers from Onagawa Town has been holding a yellow handkerchief in front of JR Onagawa Station on March 11th every year for three years to prevent the memories of the earthquake from being forgotten.
700 yellow handkerchiefs, 100 more than last year, were spelled out with messages for the deceased and wishing for reconstruction, which colored the city of Onagawa.
Students from outside the prefecture: ”I have the impression that you have hope for reconstruction.
I feel the strong will of Onagawa-cho to do my best from now on. ”
