Brazil: Introducing culture and cuisine at the ”Japan Festival”

ブラジルのサンパウロで9日ここのかまでの3日みっか間かん、日本にっぽんの文化ぶんかや料理りょうりを紹介しょうかいする「日本にほん祭まつり」がありました

The ”Japan Festival” was held in São Paulo, Brazil for three days until the 9th, introducing Japanese culture and cuisine.

日本にっぽんからブラジルに移住いじゅうした人ひとの子こどもや孫まごなどの日系人にっけいじんの団体だんたいが、毎年まいとし開ひらいています

A group of Nikkei people such as the children and grandchildren of people who immigrated to Brazil from Japan holds this event every year.

外国がいこくで日本にっぽんの文化ぶんかを紹介しょうかいするイベントではいちばん大おおきいと言いわれていて、300ぐらいの店みせなどが出でました

It is said to be the largest event to introduce Japanese culture to foreign countries, with about 300 shops.

鹿児島県かごしまけんのグループは鶏肉とりにくを使つかった「鶏飯けいはん」、福井県ふくいけんのグループはそばと大根だいこんおろしを使つかった「おろしそば」を売うりました

The Kagoshima group sold chicken rice, while the Fukui group sold oroshi soba, made with soba and grated daikon radish.

宮城県みやぎけんのこけしや滋賀県しがけんのたぬきの置物おきものなど、昔むかしから作つくっている工芸品こうげいひんも紹介しょうかいしていました

We also introduced traditional handicrafts such as kokeshi dolls from Miyagi Prefecture and tanuki figurines from Shiga Prefecture.

ブラジル人じんの女性じょせいは「息子むすこが来きたいと言いったので来きました

A Brazilian woman said, ”I came because my son wanted to come.

日本にっぽんの文化ぶんかはすばらしいと思おもいました」と話はなしていました

I thought Japanese culture was wonderful,” he said.
