Microsoft “From China-based hacker group to cyber attack”
US IT giant Microsoft announced that there was a cyberattack that illegally accessed e-mail accounts of European government agencies.
It is attributed to a hacking group based in China.
Microsoft, which provides online services such as email, announced this on its official blog on the 11th.
The attack was allegedly carried out by a China-based hacking group.
It seems that a vulnerability in Microsoft’s cloud system was exploited, but the company explains that it has already dealt with this matter.
US State Department spokesperson Miller said at a press conference on the 12th that the State Department was also the target of the attack last month.
The State Department said it took immediate measures, but did not disclose detailed information such as the target of unauthorized access.
”We were able to detect it quickly and prevent further damage,” Sullivan, the White House national security adviser, said in an interview with ABC.
