Nobel Peace Prize winner Japan Hidankyo spoke to high school students
今年のノーベル賞で、日本被団協が平和賞をもらうことが決まりました
It has been decided that Japan Hidankyo will receive the Peace Prize at this year’s Nobel Prize.
Nippon Hidankyo is an organization of people who suffered from the atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
We continue to tell people around the world to eliminate nuclear weapons.
この団体の田中煕巳さんが、16日、さいたま市の高校で話をしました
Mr. Hiromi Tanaka of this organization gave a talk at a high school in Saitama City on the 16th.
Mr. Tanaka was affected by the atomic bomb in Nagasaki when he was 13 years old.
田中さんは「核兵器が、人にどんなひどいことをしたか、勉強してください
Mr. Tanaka said, ``Please study what terrible things nuclear weapons did to people.’’
And please think about how we can create a future without nuclear weapons.”
高校生は「原爆は2度と使ってはいけないと思いました
A high school student said, ``I thought that the atomic bomb should never be used again.’’
