両横綱が、
名古屋市の
熱田神宮で
土俵入りを
奉納しました。
Before the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament, which opens on July 13th, both yokozuna Hoshoryu and Oonosato performed a dohyo-iri ring-entering ceremony as an offering at Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya.
熱田神宮では、名古屋場所の成功と安全を祈願して、例年、横綱の奉納土俵入りが行われていて、熱田神宮によりますと、ことしは、およそ5000人のファンが集まりました。
At Atsuta Shrine, a yokozuna performs a ceremonial dohyo-iri every year to pray for the success and safety of the Nagoya tournament. According to Atsuta Shrine, about 5,000 fans gathered this year.
大の里が夏場所後に横綱に昇進し、熱田神宮で横綱2人による奉納土俵入りが行われるのは、新型コロナウイルスの感染が拡大する前となる令和元年の白鵬と鶴竜以来、6年ぶりです。
After the summer tournament, Oonosato will be promoted to yokozuna, and it will be the first time in six years since 2019, before the spread of COVID-19, that a dedication dohyo-iri ring-entering ceremony by two yokozuna will be held at Atsuta Shrine, with the last being Hakuho and Kakuryu.
豊昇龍と大の里の両横綱は、参拝したあと、ともに「雲竜型」の土俵入りを披露し、訪れたファンたちが横綱の力強い動きに合わせて「よいしょ」などと、大きな声をかけていました。
After visiting the shrine, both yokozuna, Hoshoryu and Oonosato, performed the Unryu-style ring-entering ceremony, and the fans who had come to see them shouted loudly, saying things like Yoisho! in time with the powerful movements of the yokozuna.
ことしの名古屋場所は、会場が60年ぶりに変更となり、名古屋市内に新たに完成した「IGアリーナ」で行われます。
This years Nagoya tournament will be held at the newly completed IG Arena in Nagoya City, as the venue has been changed for the first time in 60 years.
豊昇龍は「ここでは初めての土俵入りで、こんなにたくさんのファンが来てくれるとは思わなかった。
Hoshoryu said, This was my first ring-entering ceremony here, and I didnt expect so many fans to come.

Its my first time at IG Arena, so I want to give it my all and wrestle with determination, he said confidently.
大の里は「たくさんのお客さんの前で、熱田神宮の土俵入りを経験できてうれしく思う。
Dainosato said, I am happy to have experienced the ring-entering ceremony at Atsuta Shrine in front of so many spectators.
