刃物で刺されたとみられ、近くの交番に、服に血のついた20代の男が出頭しましたが、捜査関係者によりますと男もケガをしているということで、警察は治療が終わり次第詳しく調べることにしています。
A man in his 20s, with blood on his clothes, turned himself in at a nearby police box, believed to have been stabbed with a knife. According to investigators, the man is also injured, and the police plan to investigate further once his treatment is complete.
14日午後8時過ぎ、さいたま市桜区にあるマンションの入り口で高校生とみられる10代の少女が血を流して倒れているのが見つかり、病院に運ばれましたが、その後、死亡しました。

警察によりますと刃物で刺されたとみられるということです。

現場から若い男が立ち去ったという目撃情報があったため警察が行方を捜していたところ20代の男が近くの交番に出頭してきたということです。
The police were searching for a young man after receiving witness reports of him leaving the scene, when a man in his twenties turned himself in at a nearby police box.
服には血がついていて、事件に関わったとみられますが、捜査関係者によりますと男もケガをしていて治療を受けているということです。
The clothes were stained with blood and are believed to be related to the incident, but according to investigators, the man is also injured and is receiving treatment.
警察は殺人事件として捜査していて、治療が終わり次第、男から詳しく事情を聴いて事件のいきさつを調べることにしています。

現場はJR埼京線の南与野駅から西におよそ2キロ離れた住宅街です。

現場のマンションに住む30代の女性は「小学生と幼稚園の子どもがいるので、近くでこんな事件が起こってすごく不安です。
A woman in her 30s living in the apartment on site said, I have elementary and kindergarten-aged children, so Im very worried about such an incident happening nearby.
