On the afternoon of the 1st, near an elementary school in Nishinari Ward, Osaka, seven elementary school students were injured after being hit by a car. 1日午後1時半すぎ、大阪・西成区千本中で下校中の小学生7人が乗用車にはねられました。

その後の調べで、車を運転していた矢澤容疑者が子どもたちを故意にはねた疑いがあるとして、殺人未遂の疑いで逮捕しました。

警察によりますと、調べに対し容疑を認め、「すべてがいやになったので、人を殺そうと乗っていた車で突っ込んだ」などと供述しているということです。

現場は南海電鉄の岸里玉出駅から北西に600メートルほど離れた、大阪市立千本小学校に近い住宅街を通る道路です。

NHKの映像では、狭い道路に救急車が数台止まっているほか、規制線が張られ、多くの救急隊員や警察官が対応している様子が確認できます。
