In the ministerial negotiations, it was decided to hold intensive working-level discussions in preparation for the next implementation, and the prevailing view within the Japanese government is that, while not significant, there was a certain degree of progress.
The government believes that if negotiations are prolonged, the impact on domestic industries, including the automobile sector, will grow. Therefore, it aims to identify areas where compromises can be made through working-level discussions, connect these to ministerial negotiations, and seek an agreement between the leaders as soon as possible in a way that serves the national interests of both countries.
