Around 11:20 p.m. on the 6th, a security guard discovered a fire coming from the first floor of the four-story Shiraoka City Hall building in Sendano, Shiraoka City, and reported it to the fire department.

According to the police and fire department, the fire was extinguished about six hours later, but approximately 1,300 square meters of the first floor were burned.

There were no injuries.

According to the police, at the time, only security guards were inside the building, so they have been conducting an on-site investigation since the morning of the 6th to determine the cause of the fire.

Due to this impact, all counter services at the city hall are currently suspended, and it is said that direct phone calls to each department cannot be received either.

The city is asking people to check the citys website and X formerly known as Twitter for updates on future developments.
