不審者が
侵入したという110
番通報がありました。
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, there was a 110 emergency call reporting that a suspicious person had entered Tachikawa Municipal Daisan Elementary School in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, shortly before 11 a.m. on the 8th.
小学校の校舎内に男2人が侵入し、窓ガラスを割るなどしたということです。
Two men broke into an elementary school building and, among other things, broke some windows.
2人はすでに教職員によって身柄を確保されたということです。
They say that the two have already been taken into custody by the faculty.
教職員5人がけがをしているということですが、いずれもけがの程度は軽いとみられるということです。
It is reported that five faculty members have been injured, but all of their injuries are believed to be minor.
これまでのところ児童にけが人はいないということです。
So far, there have been no reports of any children being injured.
立川市立第三小学校とは
立川市立第三小学校は、JR南武線の西国立駅から西に400メートルほど離れた住宅地の一角にあります。
Tachikawa Municipal Daisan Elementary School is located in a residential area about 400 meters west of Nishi-Kunitachi Station on the JR Nambu Line.
小学校のホームページによりますと、去年4月1日の時点では1年生から6年生まで500人余りの児童が在籍しています。
According to the elementary schools website, as of April 1st last year, there were over 500 students enrolled from first to sixth grade.
学校に面した道路にパトカーや消防車両

事件があった小学校の周辺にはパトカーや救急車などが多数詰めかけていて、通りかかった人たちが不安そうに学校を見る姿が確認できました。

すぐ近くに住む79歳男性は「サイレンの音に気付いて外に出たら緊急車両が集まっていた。
